Toyota Tsusho (Tonga) Limited trading as Asco Motors is the only authorised Toyota product dealer in Tonga through its exclusive Distributorship Agreement with Toyota Motor Corporation of Japan. And as part of Toyota’s commitment to the product, and of course the customer, Asco Motors’ Service Department is equipped with the tools, training and expert Toyota Trained Technicians needed to service and repair the Toyota models sold throughout Asco Motors network in Tonga.
Asco Motors is aware that some individuals and companies have purchased Toyota vehicles and products outside of Asco Motors’ network in Tonga. These vehicles and products have been imported from other ‘territories’ into Tonga that are not authorised by Toyota Motor Corporation and therefore affects the warranty, supply of parts and service.
Toyota’s worldwide corporate policy states:
“The warranty applicable to a vehicle is, in principle, only valid within the territory where the vehicle has been originally imported and retailed.
Therefore, when a distributor, Dealer, Customer or any party other than Toyota moves, sells or resells a vehicle to or in a Territory other than the original territory, every warranty applying to the vehicle in the original territory is regarded as expired and void, unless Toyota instructs otherwise.”
Toyota Motor Corporation warranty will NOT apply to vehicles that are not imported and sold by Asco Motors in Tonga.
Due to the varying technical and specification differences which exist between the Toyota models worldwide, Asco Motors MAY NOT be in a position to provide complete service or parts support for Toyota vehicles or products purchased outside Asco Motors’ network in Tonga.
Consumer interest must be protected and of course, the warranty, on-going supply of parts and service can only be delivered by Asco Motors for Toyota vehicles and products purchased from Asco Motors in Tonga.
